The *Frozen/Dairy Department Manager* will provide quality customer service within the Frozen/Dairy Department by providing our valued customers with fresh Dairy and Frozen Products.
*Principal Duties*
· Serve customers throughout the store while modeling a service-oriented culture and providing “best in class” customer service, which includes greeting, engaging and thanking every guest for their business.
· Manage Frozen/Dairy labor goals by creating employee schedules to maximize production.
· Maintain proper cooler conditions to include: rotating, cleaning and organizing cases or products.
· Assist to create attractive department displays based on specific sales for the week.
· Maintain inventory levels, place orders and ensure accurate pricing.
· Promotion planning to include advertised and in-store specials along with seasonal events.
· Assist store management in preparing the departmental budget, profit and loss reviews, and take appropriate action on financial reports.
· Responsible for thorough and consistent training and leadership of team members.
· Provide consistent, timely and friendly customer service when answering questions, making recommendations and promoting products through suggestive selling.
· Ensure that the Frozen/Dairy department is always full and fresh with the best quality products
· Walk store regularly to ensure an organized, sanitary, and overall clean appearance at all times
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures.
· Perform other duties as required.
*Education and Experience Required:*
* HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
*Skills and Abilities Required:*
· Previous grocery department manager experience preferred.
· Must be patient and helpful to exceed the customer’s expectations.
· Must possess basic computer skills to operate calculators, ordering equipment, etc.
· Ability to accommodate a fluctuating schedule, including weekend, evening and holiday shifts.
· Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions, priorities and circumstances.
· Ability to follow verbal and written directions in regards to daily reporting.
*Physical Requirements:*
· Lift up to 50 lbs.
· Work in a colder environment.
· Stand and walk for duration of work shift.
· Reach, push and pull merchandise regularly.
