Part Time position: 4 hours per day, afternoon hours
Job Summary:
An industrial cleaner is a person whose janitorial duties consist of cleaning and maintaining a factory or other industrial facility.
Commonly, janitorial work includes floor care, cleaning and restocking restrooms, removing trash, washing windows, and some maintenance or repair work on facilities or grounds.
Essential Job Functions:
To perform the job successfully, the individual must accomplish the following:
Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around factory and/or office buildings.
Cleans floors and rooms.
including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
Vacuums, empties trash, and replaces liners.
Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
Transports dirty linens to correct area to be cleaned and restocks areas with clean linens.
Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
Performs additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team.
Proven working experience as a Cleaner
Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
Integrity and ability to work independently
High school degree
Working Environment:
Position may require extended hours on occasion.
Position requires frequent bending, walking, and standing.
Requires lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
