*OBJECTIVE:* Fulfill duties of supervising professional on projects and oversee planning, design, analysis and construction of projects to deliver high-quality, safe and structurally sound buildings.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* * In collaboration with architect and team; plan and design multifamily, single family, and commercial buildings * Act as Supervising Professional for S.

Swiderski projects requiring DSPS and WI State Plan Approval * Design structural components for large-scale projects, including analyzing survey reports, topographical maps, zoning restrictions and client requirements to ensure specifications meet project goals * Make calculations about pressures, loads, and stresses * Ensure structures meet the building codes, legal regulations and health and safety requirements * Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction to construction department and safety team * Create and present structural overviews for upcoming projects, and develop reports that include technical details for engineers as well as big-picture analysis and cost estimates for project managers and senior executives * Prepare documentation for private and government clients covering project plans and progress, change orders, environmental impact findings, ownership transfers and other relevant information * Create structural models by using computer-aided design software * Assist in choosing appropriate materials based on structural specifications which meet company feasibility and standards * Work closely and coordinate with other professionals including outside architects, engineers and contractors and SCS staff such as development, design and construction staff * Participate in monitoring construction and the inspection and reporting process for buildings and components * Assist in preparation and allocation on budgets with Project Managers, Development, and Construction teams * Track and report on project progress to leadership and supportive teams * Hire, manage and provide timelines and oversight for team * Develop standard operating procedures for department *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* _Required:_ * Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, plus minimum of five years of relevant work experience * Must have valid driver’s license * OSHA 30 certification or the ability to obtain one in 90 days * Full understanding of all building codes and resources to ensure all codes are met * In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations * Excellent understanding of plans and specifications * Working knowledge of Microsoft applications * Excellent problem-solving, organizational, time management, and decision-making skills * Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations * Hands-on experience with AutoCAD or Revit * Data-driven mindset with excellent mathematical skills * Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing and giving presentations * Attention to detail * Ability to direct, train and mentor staff _Preferred:_ * Degree in Structural Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus * Professional Engineer (PE) designation or ability to obtain * Member of the Institute of Structural Engineering * Expert experience in project management * Experience in multi-family buildings *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:* * Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds * Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time * Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting/turning, crouching, crawling * Ability to climb, work on and carry a ladder * Comfortable working at various heights * Ability to navigate diverse terrain * Ability to sit at a computer desk for varied lengths of time *SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:* * Occasional travel during the day may be required to properties, presentations, and construction sites.
* Ability to dress professionally for public events and meeting needs.
* Ability to effectively present in public and at meetings with internal and external groups.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:* This position operates in a professional setting during normal business hours of Monday to Friday, with occasional hours outside of that range as business necessitates.
Travel during the day will be required to properties and project sites.
