Status: Accepting Applications Job Description Price County is accepting applications for a Deputy Clerk of Court, within the Clerk of Courts Department.
This deputized position provides complex clerical support for the court system and acts as a clerk in the courtroom and in the Clerk of Circuit Courts office.
The position also requires skill in the operation of office equipment, excellent communication skills, and an ability to communicate clearly with users of court services.
This is a full-time, regular position with a starting hourly wage of $21.
74 (Grade 5) and full benefits package.
Job Responsibilities 100% - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent.
Administrative Assistant Associates Degree with Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an office setting with at least two (2) years of experience providing support to court function, district attorney, or law firm and have general knowledge of legal terminology and courtroom protocol preferred, or any combination of education and experience to be considered equivalent.
Must have at least three (3) years of computer related experience including experience in Microsoft Word and other related software.
Prefer experience with CCAP.
Must have basic bookkeeping and money handling skills.
Must be able to complete detailed work accurately and timely in a work environment with a considerable amount of distractions (i.
e.
phone calls, customer service with litigants, attorneys, and the general public) and with minimal supervision.
Must be able to take quick, accurate, legible notes and minutes Must possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with users of court services including the ability to stand in front of court and speak publicly.
Must be able to establish and maintain an effective and positive working relationship with staff and members of the public.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work outside of “normal” Courthouse hours, if necessary.
Must be available to travel and stay overnight for training purposes.
