The Registered Nurse Clinical Lead understands and supports the philosophy and policies and procedures of Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Works collaboratively to produce, nurture and sustain a professional practice and healthy work environment that affords and enhances patient care effectiveness and efficiency through leadership to multidisciplinary teams, effective physician relationships and a shared vision and dedication to the future of Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
This person has accountability for the overall coordination of all the Registered Nurses and other healthcare providers in the area under their direction.
In collaboration with the Department Manager responsible for overseeing the functioning of the department which includes participation in direct patient care as well as ensuring appropriate resources in order to provide safe, high quality patient care.
Aspirus Wausau Hospital, in Wausau, WI, is seeking a Lead Clinical Nurse to join our team! Experience/Qualifications Knowledge of patient care standards and practices in area of specialty normally acquired through completion of a nursing program and currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program in nursing or certificate for Clinical Nurse Leader.
A minimum of two years’ clinical experience and familiarity in the patient population in assigned units(s).
Evidence of leadership expertise.
Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing.
An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.

Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year.
Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
Hours: Full Time or 0.
9 FTE, 72 hours every 2 weeks.
Night shift, every 3rd weekend as needed and every other holiday.
