We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at the Biron Division in Wisconsin Rapids.
The successful candidate will be a member of the leadership team responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the entire mill and will report to the VP and General Manager at Biron.
The Operations Manager has the complete operational responsibility of the safety, environmental, and efficiency and quality production.
*Job Responsibilities* * Fully support safety improvement initiatives to create a safe work environment where no one gets hurt.
* Identify and implement strategies to meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Provide leadership consistent with delivering on the budget for the Power, Pulp, Maintenance, Paper, and Technical Teams at the Biron Division.
* Establish strong networks with ND’s worldwide teams to uncover best practices and then apply to our business at Biron.
* Successful implementation of the mill capital plan.
* Identify, plan, execute, and check for operational excellence in all areas of the business.
* Apply your subject matter expertise to reduce variability in your field of expertise.
* Monitor controllable costs for all areas of responsibility and take corrective action as necessary.
* Be available to respond to emergency issues as they arise during normal work hours as well as non-normal work hours.

* Safety conscious and willing to work in an industrial environment.
* Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
* Organizational and change management skills * Initiative and perseverance * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office tools, SAP, and ParcView * Strong analytical problem-solving skills: a solid background in statistical analysis is a plus.
