Responsibilities:
Summary: The Diamond Kote Building Products Quality Supervisor is responsible for development and daily execution of Wausau Supply’s quality system.
The position is responsible for direct supervision of quality staff, ensuring timely completion of quality tasks, and effective implementation of quality related policies and process.
The quality supervisor maintains close working relationships with other department staff, suppliers, and other stakeholders to solve and prevent problems affective product quality.
Duties to include, (but not limited to):
Develops and upholds the policies and procedures within Wausau Supply’s quality management system.
Provides direction to and oversee daily execution and performance of quality team members.
Establishes and enforces standards that meet the requirements of Wausau Supply customers.
Ensures effective control plans and testing procedures are developed for new and existing products and processes.
Develops and implements effective auditing programs that ensure desired quality outcomes.
Develops and executes internal and supplier corrective action process.
Maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Trains internal team members on quality methods, including root cause analysis.
Project manages resources in quality improvement efforts that lead to measurable cost reductions.
Develops quality KPIs and reports results to all levels of the organization.
Quality Supervisor Demonstrates:
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
Thorough understanding of quality management system and processes including PPAP, control plans, and CAPA
Excellent time management; Ability to evaluate and prioritize efforts and resources toward the highest impact opportunities
Strong analytical skills; ability collect and evaluate data
Strong understanding of metrology, measurement tools/technologies, and coating/color/appearance evaluation techniques
Qualifications:
Education / Experience:
S.
Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience and qualifications
LSSGB or other relevant certification preferred
Working Demands / Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up 50 - 75 pounds
Travel required 15-20% of the time.
Clean MVR for situations when travel is needed.
