Within this position you will be working directly with day-to-day operations managers (BC’s) and manager assistants (BCA’s).
The ideal candidate would be someone who assists upper management with future revenue streams within our transportation and additional divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Create a culture of teamwork and constant growth while leading and motivating a group of transportation professionals.
Create and carry out strategic plans to improve our transportation divisions performance and efficiency.
To ensure effective coordination of transportation activities.
To enhance operational efficiency overall and to improve delivery schedules, expenses, and costs.
Oversee the operation of our fleet of vehicles, including maintenance schedules, adherence to safety standards, and performance requirements.
To find areas for process improvement, put greater efficiency techniques into practice, and promote improvements in overall performance, evaluate transportation data and indicators.
To maintain compliance and look for opportunities for growth, develop good relationships with other parties.
Keep updated with new market trends, the latest technologies, and best practices that encourage creativity within the transportation division.
Establish and enforce policies related to safe transportation practices and adherence to all corporate and industry rules.
Present important performance metrics, issues, and strategic recommendations in regular reports and updates to management.
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or another closely associated field.
A track record of at least 2 years spent in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Comprehension of transportation operations, including load planning, route optimization, and carrier management.
Strong leadership skills, with the capacity to inspire and develop an eclectic group.
Proficiency in data analysis and the use of appropriate technology.
Broad understanding of the transportation industrys best practices, industry compliance, and safety requirements.
Powerful analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to make wise decisions in a changing environment.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to engage successfully at all organizational levels.
Dedicated to upholding the highest standards of reliability and effectiveness, highly organized and detail-oriented.
