Daily Living Skills Assistant Manager JOB HIGHLIGHTS Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent One (1) year of experience working with persons with disabilities or in a nursing or home health care position Experience and understanding of community resources and methods of teaching independent living skills Valid driver’s license with good driving record and insured vehicle available for daily use Responsibilities: Ability to provide the necessary support, case management and personal assistance needed for individuals to be independent in their home and in their community Possess knowledge of special needs Ability to provide assistance according to individual needs (ie: medication schedule, bathroom routines and schedules, care procedures) Provide new and ongoing training for staff Ability to perform assessments and intakes for individuals new to the program Work as a mentor and build relationships with individuals to assist them to connect to their community Ability to provide direct support to individuals with any activities of daily living that are needed to live independently.
This can include, but is not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry, medication support, bill paying and personal care support Observe, evaluate, report and document on the performance of adults with disabilities to track daily progress, concerns and outcomes in order to make recommendations Ability to make decisions and work independently Benefits: Great Work/Life Balance with Generous PTO and Paid Holidays Full Benefits Package including Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance, etc.
