Housing Service Specialist

Housing Service Specialist Summary: Responsible for assisting the FCPC Elder Community on and near Forest County FCPC reservations lands with general home maintenance tasks on assigned FCPC Tribal Elder homes.
This position is required to perform all tasks in an effective, competent, and professional manner and is responsible for adhering to all policies of the Public Works Division.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provides snow removal and lawn care operations including but not limited to driveway clearing, roof clearing, shoveling, small shrubbery pruning, lawn mowing, etc.
Performs spring and fall clean-up operations including but not limited to gutter clean outs, yard clean ups, and driveway washouts.
Completes in home air duct cleanings.
Assists with visual home inspections and reports to Housing and Housing Construction Departments to address deficiencies before they become an emergency.
Performs minor projects and repairs that require the ability to operate a variety of heavy and light equipment, and hand and power tools including but not limited to skid steer, telehandler, power tools, saws, sanders, etc.
Provides assistance to other departments for set up and take down of elder events.
Perform odd jobs, such as painting, deck repairs, window screen making, moving furniture, and minor in-home maintenance.
Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities): High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1-2 years of snowplowing experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
Must be able to have good customer service with FCPC’s elder community.
Capable of using sound judgement and working with minimal supervision Must have a valid, clean driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age.
3-5 years of experience with operating small engines preferred.
